The aim of the course is to design and prototype an app that is intended for the visually impaired and / or related to their environment, everyday life and needs.
At the end of the course, the concept will be presented accompagnied by a live use case demo on targetted device.
The students get an introduction to the technical basics of smartphones (geolocation, sensors, interaction possibilities) as well as an overview of the economic and technical functioning and meaning of the app world.
Teaching and learning methods:
Basics of user interface design and rapid prototyping for mobile devices are taught. In practical exercises, the process is learned from idea to implementation. Software used: Axure, graphics programs, presentation programs.
