Their business models and modus operandi are those of a platform – they provide software and hardware foundations for others to operate with. A new species has emerged and happily? lives in these “walled gardens”: the user as half-customer, half-worker. We can only begin to grasp how this is changing the economy, society as a whole and also ourselves – the busy bees on Digital Capitalism’s honeycombs.
